Kiss Me by Jillian Dodd Book Blog Tour + Giveaway

Today I'm overjoyed to participate in the Kiss Me tour, hosted by the always lovely AToMR Tours.

Title: Kiss Me (The Keatyn Chronicles #2)
Author: Jillian Dodd
Published: November 28th, 2012
Book rating: 4 stars
Cover rating: 3 stars
I've always written scripts for my perfect life.
But no way could I have ever scripted this.
My life is so far from perfect, it’s not even funny.
All because of a stalker.
I’m at a boarding school where I have to lie about who I am.
I can’t see my family.
I’m tutoring a Hottie God that tortures me with his smile.
The most popular girl already hates me.
But there’s this boy.
This hot, sweet, sexy boy.
So I’m going to stop trying to script my life and just live it.
Because who knows how long I have left.
Minor spoilers ahead for the first novel in this series, Stalk Me. If you haven't read it but are interested you can find my review for it here

This series will be the death of me, it is my guilty pleasure and I'm not afraid to shout it out to the world (or at least my blog followers and fellow readers). Jillian Dodd just has a way of writing these stories about things I would usually not enjoy reading about and making them work. Kiss Me picks up right where the first book in the series, Stalk Me, ended. I had a love hate relationship with Stalk Me. I did a lot more loving with Kiss Me, the only reason I gave it four stars is because I felt like not a lot developed with Keatyn's stalker. A few things happened but I feel like the problem was just cast aside. Kiss Me really had the love department on lock down though, in Kiss Me we get to learn more about Aiden and Dawson and we have some minor reappearances of a few of the men from Stalk Me. Both Aiden and Dawson are undoubtedly swoon worthy. Jillian definitely knows how to create a male character that's easy to love for everybody. Daws (Keatyn's nickname for him) was a total babe to say the least. He was sweet and caring with Keatyn and he knew how to be hot and sexy, too. I like how he expressed what he was feeling but never forces Keatyn to say she feels one way. She isn't quite ready to be in a serious relationship and he accepts that. Aiden was frustrating but hot, hot, hot. If Keatyn and Aiden weren't making out or dancing in this book they were fighting. I swear, Aiden is the man that helped create the stereo type of all men are confusing. He is the leader of the HAM crew. What's a HAM? Hot. Ass. Mess! I loved him but I hated him, he was just so back and forth and I wanted him to make up his mind!! I am praying Keatyn doesn't do something utterly awful in Date me, the third book, to ruin one of these relationships completely. As of right now I'm on Team Dawson and praying she doesn't break his heart.

Like I said before I felt as if nothing really huge happened with the Stalker except for a few things. I can say that Keatyn is being utterly stupid with the entire situation, with how high tech technology is these days Vincent can easily find her if she makes one little mistake and boy was she care free at times. In a sense she let peer pressure get to her in worse ways than if she were to let it make her into a raging bitch like Whitney. I have a feeling the stalker business might get a little crazy in Date Me because of certain things. I really liked Keatyn a lot more in Date Me even though she did some stupid stuff, she was also a hot mess half the time but we get to see her accept her new life for what it is. Even when it got really difficult I saw her trying to really adjust which is admirable considering her situation. Keatyn also learns to stand up for herself a bit more in Kiss Me and I loved that! I'm only hoping she stays safe and does what's best.

Kiss Me was wonderful. It made me yell, cry, smile, and laugh. All of these wonderful characters Jillian has created really come together to make a fun story. I recommend this series to lovers of contemporary romance, drama, and swoon worthy men.

Favorite Quotes

"If only boys came with warning labels. Like, yours would be: Do not kiss when drunk. Riley's would be: I'm going to sleep with you and your best friend too." - Keatyn

"But what did Grandpa's ranch hand say about boys? They have two moods, hungry and horny. So if you see a boy without an erection, you should go make him a sandwich. That made Grandpa laugh, and Grandma say, Keatyn don't you dare listen to them. You tell them to make their own damn sandwiches." - Keatyn

"His lips are just a quarter of a millimeter-no, more like a gnat's ass-away from touching me." - Keatyn
