Her heart races, her muscles coil, and every impulse in Alessa's body screams at her to run... but yet she's powerless to move.
Still struggling to find her footing after the sudden death of her parents, the last thing college freshman Alessa has the strength to deal with is the inexplicable visceral pull drawing her to a handsome ghostly presence. In between grappling with exams and sorority soirees - and disturbing recurring dreams of being captive in a futuristic prison hell - Alessa is determined to unravel the mystery of the apparition who leaves her breathless. But the terrifying secret she uncovers will find her groping desperately through her nightmares for answers.
Because what Alessa hasn't figured out yet is that she's not really a student, the object of her obsession is no ghost, and her sneaking suspicions that something sinister is lurking behind the walls of her university's idyllic campus are only just scratching the surface...
The opening installment in a twist-laden trilogy, Stitch spans the genres of paranormal romance and dystopian sci-fi to explore the challenges of a society in transition, where morality, vision, and pragmatism collide leaving the average citizen to suffer the results.

Wow, Stitch was not what I expected at all, but in a good way! Samantha has created a dystopian world like no other I've heard of and crafted it into something amazing. I love the world she's created, her writing sucked me in and helped me picture everything that was going on like a movie in my head. Stitch keeps you on the edge of your seat as the story progresses and we uncover what's really going on.

I've been trying to figure out a way to let you know how awesome Stitch is without giving anything away, which is kind of hard. As I was reading Stitch I thought I had it all figured out, I thought I was some master detective but no. Samantha fooled me from the very beginning and I only knew when she flat out told me, I love books like that! Alessa was pretty awesome if you ask me, she was strong and a really cool girl but also sort of sad inside. Her determination to figure out what the heck was going on and her bravery was inspiring. I could see myself wanting to be on her side. I wanted so badly for her to discover who and what this apparition was and where it was coming from. She had these feelings for the apparition that were completely unexplained and I was going to die if it was some insta love crap but it was so much more! If you think you have this story figured out you probably don't. Without giving anything away the rest of the characters were also very enjoyable to read about and easy for me to care about. I loved each and every one of them.

Samantha is definitely going to be a great author if her debut has anything to say about it. I highly suggest you all read this mysterious, awesome book! You'll be expecting one thing and then blown away by what you get. Stitch exceeded my expectations and is one of my favorite books I've read so far this year.
